Retailer creates new role to strengthen farmer partnerships
Ruralco has appointed Nicola Peddie as General Manager Sales, a newly created leadership role that reflects the co-operative's commitment to strengthening member relationships and delivering even greater value to Mid Canterbury farmers.
The company says Peddie brings extensive leadership experience across the agricultural and research sectors and will lead Ruralco's sales teams, working closely with members, suppliers and staff to continue building strong relationships and positive outcomes across the region.
Peddie’s most recent role has been in strategic partnerships with University of Canterbury. Previously she has been involved with Zentera (the New Zealand Merino Company) and Carfields.
Ruralco Chief Executive Tony Aitken says her appointment is part of the co-operative's continued focus on better understanding members' needs while supporting future growth.
"Nicola's experience, leadership and understanding of the agricultural sector will help us continue delivering the service, advice and value our shareholders expect from their farming co-operative."
Peddie is looking forward to joining Ruralco and working alongside the team and members.
"Ruralco has a strong reputation as a locally owned, farmer-focused co-operative. I'm excited to join the team and help build on that legacy by supporting members and strengthening relationships across Mid Canterbury."
